Since I started having acid reflux attacks, I stayed away from anything sour. I didn’t want anything that would further mess up with my digestion. Pineapple contains bromelain, a proteolytic enzyme, that makes pineapples known as a primary digestive aid.  Eating a  slice of pineapple after meals will reduce gas, bloating, nausea, constipation and symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. This enzyme helps with the digestive system to break down food and clean the blood by removing debris and toxins from the blood stream. Pineapples can be sour and can be sweet, but most people prefer them sweet. You can tell whether the fruit will be sour or sweet by simply smelling it. If it smells fresh, tropical and sweet, it will be a good fruit. The more scales on the pineapple, the sweeter and juicier the taste. It is also easy to grow because you can plant it after you cut the top. It should grow much like a sweet potato will.
