Having problems in the bedroom? Don’t worry, you might not need to buy Viagra or Intrinsa (Viagra for her) just yet. Try raiding you fridge with these loots that may enhance  your bedroom romp.

Bananas – bananas have been always been associated with sex because of its shape. The fruit itself is phallic but in some cultures, the flower is more graphic. In India where sensuality is considered an art,  bananas were said to be a favorite fruit of the sages and continues to be included in Indian offerings to their  fertility deities. Among the Muslims, it is believed that  banana, and  not the apple, was believed to be the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden.  An Islamic myth even narrates the tale that after Adam and Eve succumbed to the “forbidden fruit”, they started covering themselves with banana leaves rather than the figs’. In Central America, the sap of the  red banana tree is sipped as an aphrodisiac elixir.

Why is it such a hit? Not only are bananas rich in potassium and B vitamins which helps in the production of sex hormones, bananas are also a great source of energy, which is what’s necessary to participate in a romantic romp.

Asparagus – Hailed in an Arabic sex manual and “Ananga Ranga” (a 15th or 16th century Indian sex manual), asparagus  is an aphrodisiac because of its special phosphorus elements that counteracts fatigue. Like the banana, it is rich in potassium and B vitamins, which are thought to aid in the production of sex hormones. In a traditional Graeco-Arabic medicine, which is based on the teachings of Greek physician Hippocrates and Roman physician Galen and practiced widely in south Asia, the dried roots of asparagus are used as an aphrodisiac. Fifteen grams of these roots boiled in a cup of milk  taken twice daily will work wonders on impotence and premature ejaculation. A vegetarian society in the US also suggests that eating asparagus for three days to get the most powerful effect

Carrots– Why do you think rabbits love carrots? It’s probably one of the few that keeps them in action. Carrots are considered valuable in impotence and are known to increase sexual stamina. Some studies have also shown that carrots contain (aside from Vitamin A)Vitamin E in all three chemical forms – alpha, beta and gamma to co-pherrol(collectively known as Vitamin E. complex.) A tested recipe-finely chop 150 grams of carrots with a half boiled egg, dipped in a tablespoon of honey to be taken everyday for a month or two.

Avocados – this isn’t called by the mayans as “testicles tree” for nothing. Dating back from as early as 200 B.C., the Aztec natives  used avocado to increase sexual desire. Centuries later, studies about erectile dysfunction and problems with sexual arousal have found that that certain nutrients found in this fruit may be the reason why it works so well as an aphrodisiac.  Avocados contain so much vitamins and when the body is given enough nutrients and vitamins, the body’s performance is significantly going to improve. By improving your health through avocado, your sexual performance and endurance can improve as well.

The best thing about these natural aphrodisiacs is that they don’t have  any side effects and are very safe to use and consume. Most of you may have eaten these  before, so all you need to do is increase your intake of  them to enjoy their added benefits.
