Acne can occur on the scalp just like it appears on the face and other parts of the body. This annoying problem can bother many people, both old and young.
Just like the rest of the body, the scalp has pores that secrete oil (sebum) to the surface. When the bacteria already on the scalp combine with dead skin cells and sebum, the pores get blocked, leading to an outbreak of acne.
What Causes Scalp Acne?
Several factors can contribute to scalp acne, such as hormonal changes, unhealthy diet, allergic reaction, poor hygiene, pollution and exposure to certain chemicals and oils.
Stress, fatigue and depression can also contribute to this problem.
Scalp acne can be very annoying and a painful problem. If the scalp acne is getting too painful or does not show signs of healing, visit a dermatologist for proper treatment.
Use of Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is so great for curing acne because it returns the acidity to our skin and restores that acid mantle. It also kills bacteria, removes excess dirt, oil and makeup and dissolves dead skin cells.
- Mix apple cider vinegar with an equal amount of distilled water, and rinse your washed hair with this solution. Wait 5 to 7 minutes, then rinse your hair again with clean water. Do it every time you shampoo your hair.
