10 foods that will help you overcome cramps, mood swings during menstrual period

It’s that time of the month again!

Cramps, mood swings, and cravings are all coming back to us, women, once again.

Sometimes a hot compress or a plateful of our food cravings would do the trick to make us feel better.

Little did we know, there are actually food that can help in reducing period cramps, help us feel less bloated, and help with our mood swings.

Here are some of the foods that can be our savior during our period:

1. Salmon

Salmon is rich in vitamin b12 and Omega-3 fatty acids that help in relaxing muscles to relieve the disc0mfort menstruation cramps bring. Not to mention it’s one of the healthiest food in general.

2.  Leafy greens

Green leafy veggies are filled with iron, which can be best eaten during period to replace the iron that we lose due to menstruation.

Dark chocolates, not the sweet or processed chocolates, can be one of our best remedy over mood swings. Dark chocolates contain antioxidants and magnesium that can help in reducing mood swings. It also helps regulate ser0tonin or the happy hormone.

4. Bananas

Bananas have vast amount of potassium, magnesium, and fiber that help bowel movement and give a relaxing impact on one’s mood. Eating banana also eases cramps.
