Although there is a limited study about it, according to a report, it is used as herbal remedy for various illnesses.

It is often being consumed as a tea or extract, the report said.

Corn silk can provide antioxidants that protect the body against chr0nic conditions like diabetes, heart risks, inflammation, and other serious health problems.

Experts say it contains magnesium, which is useful in regulating the body’s inflammatory response. It can also help lower blood sugar.

Further, it could also reduce cholesterol. However, a report also said that while corn silk has a lot of health benefits, it may not be safe for everyone, especially those who have an allergic reaction to corn.

It was also disclosed that corn silk is not recommended to those taking medications such as diuretics, blood pressure and diabetes medicine, as well as anti-inflammatory medicines and blood thinners.

If you’re taking potassium supplements, an intake of corn silk tea or extract is highly discouraged.
